How did you find London compared to what you were expecting?
Moving here has been one of the best decisions of my life. Every life challenge or goal has been a breeze to accomplish or overcome. The biggest worry or expectation of moving here, or anywhere really, is the unknown where everything is new or strange, or maybe just a bit different. But it's also new and exciting, it's something I may not have experienced before but it kept me wanting to know and experience more.
Of course, there are times when it all just seems too much to handle, and I felt like I wanted to give up, but it's times like that when I was grateful for all the special moments I could only have when traveling. For the new friends made or interesting characters met. For the community of like-minded people and travelers from Britbound.
Life isn't meant to be easy, but I choose to go through that challenge, that achievement, while in London traveling, rather than being stuck doing the same back home. I knew life would be very different here in London, but I didn't expect to like different so much.
What is the achievement you're most proud of since moving to the UK?
The biggest achievement in moving here is, well, actually moving here. It has made my life more interesting, my stories more entertaining, and my experiences varied. I've traveled to near 30 different countries across Europe in the past 2 years, and I think living in London, setting my base here, was the only way I could have achieved it.
How has your experience abroad changed your outlook on the world?
I've always been an open minded guy, and love to learn about people, and new cultures, anything new. I've lived in a few cities, and a few countries now so I would say I'm well adapted to different conditions. My time so far in London has allowed me, more than anywhere else, to really let me be the person I wanted to be. London is a huge city, with a huge population. It's multicultural and diverse in so many ways that it's given me the options to really try so many new things.
What would you say to someone who's thinking about moving to the UK with BritBound?
If it is something you really want to do, there's nothing stopping you. Once you have decided to do it, then you'll find every reason to do it. If you're worried about the application process then Britbound is there to help you. If you think when you get here, you'll be scared or be alone, Britbound is there to help you. I couldn't think of better way to move to a new city, and country, than knowing when you arrive that you'll have a second family here, people to show you the way, to be your friend. Once you get here, the only thing you'll wonder is why didn't I get here sooner.
